| About | Robert Lawrence Nutter, 74 departed this life on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 3:00 am at his residence. He was born in Zanesville Ohio to the late Paula D. Greene and Martin Nutter. Robert attended Lash High School. His class was the first to graduate from Zanesville High School in 1955 where he lettered in football and was on the North- South football squad his senior year. He attended Wittenberg University before enlisting in the US Air force where he served for 4 years. He retired from AEP following 26 years of service as Store Supervisor. Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores Russell Nutter. His children Paula Diane Gelpi, Michele (Dennis) Scanlon, Carol Nutter, Valerie Nutter, Robin Nutter, and Robert Nutter Jr. His grandchildren Nikki Nutter, Stephen and Christopher Gelpi, Marissa Scanlon, Donovan Stephens, and Cristina Nutter. His great grand children Kaleb and Aniya Nutter. Also his sisters Lois Hill and Patricia Edwards. His mother-in-law Mamie Russell, Brothers in laws Bill and Terrell Russell. Sister in law Adell Dean and many loved nieces , nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death his sisters Mary Wyatt Owens, Jean Fields, Alberta Burke, Lola Larry, brothers Allen and David Greene, and Charles Nutter, son in law Steve Gelpi, brother in laws Rudy and Frank Russell. He was a member of St Paul A.M.E Church where he was in the Hymns of Praise and Senior Choir. He formerly served as trustee and Usher. His was known for his ministry of music. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
