About | Robert William Mills “Bob” passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Thursday April 4, 2013 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. He joined a group of men for a worship weekend known as Christ Renews his Parish and later traveled with a team to Philadelphia, PA to instill that same program there. He most recently regularly attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nashport, Ohio with his wife. Bob was employed for 40 years at Carskadden Optical where he was a sales representative and after his retirement remained as a sales consultant until the Company was sold in October 2012. Bob could regularly be seen attending many of his grandchildren’s, nieces and nephews sporting events. He loved basketball, stock car racing and scoring races at several local tracks. He was a man who always had a kind word and a smile who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his wife and best friend Jane, his daughter Robin (Scott) Obenour, and sons Dr. R.W. (Laurie) Mills, Perrysburg, Ohio, and Dana (Lori) Mills.
