About Robyn Leigh Kimble, 52, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:18 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care after a long hard fought battle of 7 years with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was born on May 4, 1960, in Cambridge, Ohio, a daughter of Mary Combs Flanagan of Zanesville and the late Oliver Flanagan. She was a graduate of Zanesville High School Class of 1978, a graduate of Ohio University Class of 1983 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a graduate of Muskingum College Class of 2000 where she earned her Master of Arts degree in Education. She had worked for 30 years as an elementary teacher for Zanesville City Schools. She was awarded many teaching accolades which included, a Jennings Scholar Recipient, won the Women of Achievement Award and The Winifred K. Voyt Education Award in 2008, was selected to be included in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, Muskingum Valley Exemplary Educator for Zanesville City Schools in 2008, was recognized by Zanesville Daybreak Rotary as an Outstanding Educator for Zanesville City Schools, and was nominated by students for Disney’s American Teacher Award. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, and reading.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Kimble of the home; a step daughter, Jessica Kimble of Florida; a brother, Mark (Patty) Snyder of Zanesville; a sister, Libby (Tony) Hardwick of Zanesville; a step brother, Tracy (Vicki) Flanagan of Nashport; nieces and nephews, Derek Snyder, Alyssa, Madison, Paige, Joshua and Spenser Hardwick; and a step nephew, Dalton Flanagan;

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Combs; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Vera Kimble.

Friends and family may call from 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Jim Schumacher officiating. Robyn will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
