| About | Ronald D. Smith, 73, of Dresden Road, Zanesville, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at the Muskingum County Home, Zanesville. Ronald was born October 5, 1937 in Zanesville the son of the late Raymond and Nellie (Brosie) Smith. Ronald began work at Big Bear Grocery in 1953 and worked as a meat cutter for 43 years retiring in 1996. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Ronald is survived by his wife, Janie Brennan Smith whom he married May 10, 1993; his daughter, Kathy (Gary) Williams of Smithville, TN; three sons, Rick Smith of Atlanta, GA, Danny (Sherry) Smith of Zanesville and Mike (Janie) Smith of Peebles, OH; his step-daughter, Valerie Barry of Zanesville; and step-son, Scott (Keanna) Rucker of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Smith of Zanesville. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Toole; and a grandson, Little Gary Williams. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. |
