| About | Rose J. Sowards, 78, of South Zanesville passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Adams Lane Care Center. Born July 26, 1931 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late David and Anna Bramovich Taylor. She was a life long resident of South Zanesville, graduate of Lash High School, she was an avid cook, crocheter and Jeff Gordon fan Survived by her husband of 61 years, Ervin C. Sowards of the home; three children, Larry L. (Narda) Sowards of Zanesville, Diane (Rick) Elson of Zanesville, and Lisa Sowards of West Lafayette; six grandchildren, Ricky (Wendy) Elson, Traci Elson, Shannon (Mike Spellman) Curry, Brady (Kendra) Sowards, Jay (Danielle Wise) Morris II, and Ben Singh; four great-grandchildren, Kylie Curry, Jacob Elson, Kolton Morris, and Ryan Wise. Friends may call from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Interment will be at Wesley Union Cemetery. |
