| About | Roy A. Rogers, 61, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born November 6, 1948 to the late Thomas N. and Edna J. (Aldred) Rogers in Zanesville, Ohio. Roy operated a lawn care service in the Zanesville area for many years. He was a member of the Greater Apostolic Church of Christ and a 1966 graduate of Zanesville High School. He enjoyed watching cartoons and especially old movies. His family remembers him as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. They honor him for being a hard worker and always finishing what he started. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Barbara Ann (Fields) Rogers of the home; four sons, Gerald Logan, Lashy, Roy, Jr. and Shawn Rogers; two daughters, Latoya Lynn Rogers and Latricia J. Rogers; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild, Jasmin Rogers; four sisters, Mary (Willis) Howard, Shirley Turner, Ginger Smith and Carolyn Jenkins; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas N. Rogers, Jr. |
