| About | Russell "Link" Burke, age 82, of Zanesville, died 8:00 AM, Monday, December 21, 2020, at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville. He was born Monday, May 30, 1938, in Zanesville, the son of Booth Eugene Burke and Dorothy Marie Morgan. He was married Monday, June 30, 1969, to Sandra (Mayle) Burke who survives. He was a member of Word of Life Ministries and worked at McGraw-Edison and Economy Linen. Russell served in the United States Army. In addition to his wife he is survived by two stepdaughters, Shonda (Ted) Lowry and Melanie Adams both of Zanesville; two stepsons, Michael Hill and Kevin (Frankie) Hill; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one sister, Margaret Allen of Newark; his Pastor, John Sensabaugh and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care Russell received from the loving staff at Willow Haven Care Center. Friends may call from 11AM to 1PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where a funeral service will follow 1PM, with Rev. John Sensabaugh officiating. Burial will conclude in the Veteran’s Section in Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville, with the VFW post # 1058 and the American Legion Post #29. |
