About Russell R. Pollock, 87 passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 due to a lengthy battle with heart and lung disease. He was born in Zanesville on August 28, 1933 to the late Russell R. and Edith (Derwacter) Pollock. He was a 1951 graduate of Lash High School and served his country twice in the United States Army during the 1950’s. He was an accomplished musician and played steel guitar in many country bands, locally, at the WWVA Jamboree and on the road professionally. He was a charter member of the Muskingum County Country Music Hall of Fame. He was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Chadwick) Pollock, who he married on January 29, 1966; two daughters: Renee (Anthony) Slabicki of Seven Hills, OH and Sharon (James) Lowry of Fort Myers, FL; a grandson Christopher (Christine) Lowry of Florida; a granddaughter Autumn (Tony) Sanell of Colorado; a great grandson Conner; a great granddaughter Callie Ann; a brother in law Ronald (Kathie) Chadwick of Donora, PA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Norman (Mary) Pollock, Harold Pollock and infant Johnny Pollock; and a sister Esther (Joseph) Caruso of IL.

Private services were held at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE with Dr. Mark Ballmer officiating. Burial was in Zanesville Memorial Park with full military honors by the VFW #1058 and American Legion Post #29.
