| About | Ruth E Niceswanger, 90 passed away 9:52 AM, Monday, August 28, 2017, surrounded by her family at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born October 21, 1926, in Zanesville, to the late Rev. Arthur and Suzy (Childers) Thomas. She is preceded in death by her late husband of over 50 years Thomas L. “Lee” Niceswanger, two sisters and one brother. Ruth graduated from Lash High School where after graduating she entered the United States Army Air Forces, Air Technical Service Command where she studied Air Plane Maintenance for over two years. Ruth retired from Ohio Bell as a PBX Operator following many years of service. While at Ohio Bell she developed many co-worker lifelong friendships. Ruth and her late husband enjoyed spending their senior years living in Florida during the winter then back home in the spring to rejoin their family and friends. Ruth is survived by two sons John (Amy) Niceswanger and Jeff (Susan) Niceswanger of Zanesville. Three grandchildren, Denis (Jodi) Niceswanger, Stephanie (Tye ) Jones of Zanesville, and Jeremy ( Deseraye) Bateson of Columbus, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Dean (Norma) Thomas of Zanesville and numerous special nieces and nephews. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Zanesville Memorial Park. |
