| About | COLUMBUS: Samuel Joseph Garrett, age 60, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2012. He was born June 2, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late James, Sr. and Mary (Ruby) Garrett; also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Garrett. Sam was a 1971 graduate of Zanesville High School and was employed by Mt. Carmel East Hospital, where he worked as a cook for many years. Sam had a green thumb and was passionate about working out in the yard. He was a loving man and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings, Deborah (Ed) Templin, James (Sherri) Garrett, Brandon (Ron) Rutledge and Tom R. Garrett; many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4pm Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where family will receive friends from 3-4pm; Private family interment at a later date. |
