| About | Sarah Teresa Babb, known by many as Sally, of Zanesville, Ohio, entered eternal peace on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Sarah was born September 6, 1950 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Ralph H. and Marian M. (Singer) Ransom. In addition to her parents, Sarah is also preceded in death by her sisters, Naomi Houston and Ruth Ann Ransom; and brothers, Howard Ransom and Jeffrey Ransom. Sarah leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughters, Brooke Best and Brittney (Greg) McGreggor; her cherished grandchildren, Briann, Sarah, Katie, Maggie and Brandon Best; the love of her life and father of her children, Craig Babb; a brother, Michael "Mike" Ransom; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. Sarah pursued a career in her passion: cosmetology. She went on not only to teach others at Valley Beauty School, but also to manage several local salons, including her own. Many people remember Sally as the first person to give them a haircut. In her free time, Sarah enjoyed an ice cold Pepsi, and enjoyed her Days of Our Lives on television. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were her world. Sarah was affectionately known as Nana to many. She enjoyed carousels and carousel horses of all kinds. Sarah was a wonderful, kind woman who was loved by many and will be deeply missed. You may call on the family Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Per Sarah's wishes, cremation will follow |
