About | Shirley J. Musser 67 of Zanesville went to be with her Lord on Monday October 8, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 4, 1945 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Robert T. and Edith E. Kelly Temple. She was a 1963 graduate of Zanesville High School and a 1964 graduate from the Gerber Beauty School in Akron. She worked for 11 years as a beautician in several shops, including her own Shirley Temples Beauty Salon. She retired after 35 years of service from Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, were she worked as a surgery scheduler and computer data entry. She was a volunteer fireperson and EMT-A and EMTP for 5 years with Newton Township Fire Department. She loved cooking holiday meals for family and friends, gardening, antiquing and traveling with family and friends from her work. She was a member of the White Cottage Church of the Brethren and many other denominations beloved in her heart, Cedar Hill Baptist, St James Episcopal, First Christian and Roseville St Pauls United Methodist Church, all members of Gods world. She is survived by her husband William H. Musser, whom she married February 11, 1968; two daughters Kristen Nicole(David) Gill of South Zanesville and Ashley Anne Musser of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Kelley, Heather and William Tracey; special angels Stevie"Mouse Man" and Olivia, her two loving felines. Beside her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother Dale Temple. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Friday October 12, 2012 at St Pauls United Methodist Church, Roseville with Pastor Jerry Sutton officiating Following services cremation will take place. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday at the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Dr, White Cottage and from 10-11 am on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gensis Hospice. |
