About Stanley Sherl Slack residing in Fishers, Indiana, passed away in his home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the age of 84 after an 18-month struggle with cancer.

Born in Zanesville, OH, on January 12, 1937, son of Harold and Dorothy (Maneely) Slack. Stan was preceded by his first wife Wanda Lee (Testerman). Living in Fairfax County, Virginia from 1958 through 1993 they raised two boys Randy and David. Stan volunteered most of his free time coaching baseball, football and basketball for youth and high school kids for 25 years. He was a coach, a father figure, and a mentor to many.

Retiring to Murrells Inlet, SC, he spent his time golfing, wood working and making friends everywhere he went.

Stan, a beloved husband to Pat (Lambert), a loving father of Randy and David, an attentive grandfather of Bryce, Cole, Luke, Dylan, Hannah, Tyler and Marion Lee, a great-grandfather to Cyrus, Makena & Bodhi, and an older brother to Sharon (Slack) Ambrose and Spencer.

A grave-side service will be held at National Funeral Home & National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA on Sunday, May 16th at 11:00AM. Following the ceremony there will be a gathering at Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge, VA to commemorate Stan's wonderful life and share some laughs from 1:00-3:00.
