About | FORSYTH, GA: On January 22, 2010 Steve Hedrick unexpectedly passed away. He was born to Bev Hardy and Mike Hedrick whom demonstrated love and guidance throughout his life. He grew up exploring the Ohio outdoors, working on cars and learning about life. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1996. Steve was always surrounded by friends and was always eager to lend a hand. He married Christine Venrick in 2000 and soon welcomed the greatest gift of all, their daughter, Julia, in 2001. Growing up in Ohio gave Steve a great appreciation for the smell of crisp fall air, hard work and friendships that still endures to this day. Steve met many challenges, and was good at everything he set his mind to. Since moving to Georgia in 2001, he attended Central Georgia Technical College obtaining an Auto Technician Certificate. He worked at Raffield Tire Masters, Inc. as an auto tech for 6 years. He was an Electrician's Apprentice and obtained a certificate. He recently started a career with Monroe County Sheriff's Department, and was looking forward to growing in the law enforcement field. He was a generous, kind man who will be missed by family and friends. He was at his happiest when outside hunting, fishing or spending time with Christine and Julia. He was an amazing guitar player and spent a great deal of time shooting everything from bows to guns. He had an amazing capacity for love, laughter and honesty. He leaves behind a daughter, Julia Christine Hedrick; wife of 9 years, Christine (Venrick) Hedrick. He also leaves behind his mother, Beverly Hardy of Tennessee; father, Mike Hedrick (Patty); In-Laws, Dave and Mary Jane Venrick; brothers, Jason (Kim) and Justin (Tiffany); his close "brothers", Allan Christian, Brian (Tara) Wagner, and Rob (Melissa) Shreve were not related, but were his brothers none the less. His departure leaves a hole in all of our hearts. A wake will be held on Sunday, February 7, at the family home. A memorial service will be planned for Ohio at a later date. Thank you to all concerned for your thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted. |
