| About | Stephen D. Hardesty, age 64, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Thursday, September 3, 2009. Stephen was born of John and Jean Hardesty in Zanesville, OH August 31, 1945. He graduated from Zanesville HS class of 1963; Denison University 1967, and University of Akron School of Law 1973. Stephen served in Vietnam counseling wounded soldiers. He and Patricia (Fleming) were married 29 years and have two daughters, Claire Tazudeen (Wahid) 26 and Jean 24. Stephen is survived by his one brother, Hunter Hardesty of Savannah, GA and many other relatives and friends. Stephen was an attorney for over 35 years, and at one time, Board President of the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank; a member of various local law associations and Rotary Club of Akron. He enjoyed golf and his many friends throughout his life. |
