| About | Steven “Smitty” P. Schmid, 65, of Zanesville died at 6:07 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born on Thursday, September 26, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Philip Schmid and Nancy Swick Schmid. Steve enjoyed sports, especially the Lakers. He loved the outdoors and being at the farm. Steve loved his family and friends. He had a passion for cars and trucks. He is survived by his siblings, Dave (Kathy) Schmid and Cindy (Keith) Miller; nieces and nephews, Jason (Colleen) Schmid, Ryan Schmid and Alyssa Miller; great niece and nephew, Alaina and Evan Schmid; special cousins, Susan, Betsy and Karen; and many special friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Per his wishes, a cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. |
