| About | Terry F. Newman, 69 of Zanesville, died 11:44 AM, Monday, December 17, 2018, at Zanesville Altercare following a brief illness. He was born Wednesday, March 9, 1949, in Zanesville, the son of Delbert F. Newman and Dorothy (Rush) Newman. He married Mary Jane (Stewart) Newman on July 21, 1973. Terry began his career with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Office in 1992, was promoted to Jail Administrator and Financial Officer retired following many years of service. Throughout his life Terry served the Lord as pastor for many churches, and was currently the Senior Pastor of Wings of Hope Tabernacle. Terry loved the Lord, he loved people, and life was very important to him. Terry is survived by his wife: Mary Jane Newman of the home; two children: Jonathan Newman of Zanesville, and Sarah (Raymond) Ralston of Dayton; three grandchildren: Shavon Newman, Jarrell Newman and Braden Ralston; several aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one sister: Sharon Newman. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Wings of Hope Tabernacle, 709 Lee Street, Zanesville, and one hour prior to funeral services from 10:00 AM till time of service on Friday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 21, 2018, at Wings of Hope with Rev. Jim Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
