About | Terry J. Quinn, 58, passed away at his home in Powell, on June 6th 2009, having succumbed from his battle with advance prostate cancer that was diagnosed in July of 2008. Terry was born in the blizzard of 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio on November 27th. His father Eugene Quinn braved the reported 18 inches of drifting and blowing snow to get his mother Jo Ann (Jamison) Quinn to the hospital in Zanesville. They both preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Sue (Lunz) Quinn; children, Brittany Leigh Quinn and Sean Matthew Quinn whose wife is Athena and grandson, Evan; he has a brother, Stephen Quinn whose wife is Kim; and relative, Martin Shell; and many friends and employees. He attended Zanesville High graduating in 1969 and avoided the war by going to first Ohio University and later graduating from the Ohio State University in 1974 where he is a member of the president's club and bleeds scarlet and gray. He got his MBA from Xavier in 1978 while working for Ross Labs. He bought his first business in 1979 and then his first Subway franchise in 1982 and built that into a territorial development agreement and owned 32 stores at the time of his death. His love of golf led him to a membership at the Lakes Golf and Country Club and his other passion was Texas Holdem poker. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270) where a service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where he will lie beside his mother and eventually his beloved wife, Linda. |
