| About | Terry Lee Singer, age 69, of Zanesville, passed away 3:40 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023 following a brief illness at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born Saturday, August 7, 1954, in Zanesville, a son of the late James “Jim” Singer, Sr. and Juanita (Johnson) Singer. Terry served his country in the United States Army as an Armor Crewman during the Vietnam War, and worked as a plumbing salesman for Roekel’s and Westwater Supply Company retiring after many years of service. He played golf, softball, and coached Biddy League Football and baseball. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and “The” Michigan Wolverines fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He cherished his family and passed on his wisdom and life experiences to his daughter and grandchildren. “Always choose the underdog.” GO BLUE! He is survived by his daughter, Chastity (Donnie) Singer-Gibson of Glenford, OH, 4 grandchildren, Alysha (Kait) Altier, Austin Altier, Ashtin (Destanie) Altier and Aydenn (Kyndra Miller) Altier, Great Grandchildren, Braxton, McKinley, Bristol, Porter, and Xolani; two brothers, James (Mittie) Singer, Jr. of Cincinnati, and Ivan Singer of McConnelsville; two sisters, Martha Singer and Barbara Singer both of Zanesville several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his best friend, Denise “Nesie” Kelley and one niece, Jeanne Denise “Nessie” Singer. The family would like to give a special thank you to Kevin Gibson and the Genesis-Morrison House Hospice for all you love and support for Terry’s care Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville; and 11AM -12 PM Monday, December 11, 2023, at the funeral home where funeral services will be held at 12- Noon with Elder Mark D. Cunningham and Rev. Jim Workman officiating. Burial will conclude in the Woodlawn Cemetery Zanesville at a later date. |
