About | Thomas Cleland Greiner, 72, of Zanesville, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. Thomas was born December 25, 1948 in Zanesville to the late Bernard A. and Margaret L. (Geiger) Greiner. In addition to his parents, Thomas is also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Eleanor Dennis. Tom leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and dedicated wife, Brenda L. (Dennis) Greiner; his children, Jamie Greiner, Heather (Greg) Shaffer and Donny (Giovanna) Hicks; grandchildren, Gavin, Adeline Laken, Landen, Lauren, Alex, Nathan, Katie and Gabby; great-granddaughter, Stella James; sister, Sherry, of McConnelsville; nephews, Steve and Greg Ashford; father-in-law, Larry Dennis; sister and brother-in-law, Barb (Kenny) Chevalier, Sr. and Brian (Janet) Dennis, Sr., of Columbus; niece and nephews, Kenny Chevalier, Jr., Brian Dennis, Jr. and Danielle Evershine; great nephew, Ace; and a host of other family and friends. Thomas was a United States Veteran, having served in the Army. He went on to dedicate 38 years of employment to Brockway Glass, where he worked as an electrician before retiring. Thomas was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams included The Buckeyes, The Indians, The Cavaliers and of course, The Cleveland Browns. Tom never missed a Browns game. He was an avid computer wiz, and had a collection of ham radios, which he enjoyed talking on. Of his many collected items, Tom also had a collection of banjos. He loved blue grass music. In his free time, Tom enjoyed activities such as fishing, gardening and picking. You could often find Thomas on his deck, or in front of his computer, enjoying a cold beer. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. |
