About Thomas E. Raymond Jr., 70, died Monday, April 1, 1991, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Born September 19, 1920, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was a son of Thomas E. and Emily K. Hamilton Raymond Sr.

Mr. Raymond spent most of his life in the Zanesville, area. He was a retired electrical engineer, a retired Air Force Colonel and World War II veteran, where he served with the 9th Bomb Group.

He owned H & R Block in Cambridge and was a member of St. Nichols Catholic Church, Council 505 Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree K of C., NATP and Muskingum Valley Fisherman's Association. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University at Athens in June, 1946.

Surviving are his wife, Grace Mattingly Raymond, whom he married October 23, 1942; four daughters, Mrs. Emily Weaver of San Francisco, Mrs. Ron, (Mary Ann) Walker of Zanesville, Mrs. Ron (Ellen) Staley of Herndon, VA and Mrs. James (Barbara) Davis of Columbus; one son and daughter in law; Martin and Rebecca Raymond of Canal Winchester; one son Chris Raymond of the home; one brother and sister in law, Robert E. and Betty Raymond of Zanesville; seven granddaughters; two step-grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a stepmother, Marguerite Evans Raymond..

Burial will be in Mattingly Settlement.
