About Thomas F. Hardman, 82, of Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, March 12, 2005.

He was born in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Coy and Laudie Bennett Hardman. Mr. Hardman lived in Chicago for many years before moving to Palm Beach 30 years ago. He was a US Army Air Force veteran of WW II. In his own typewritten words, Mr. Hardman states: “ I would like it to be known that I was a farmer, tire maker, stock clerk, carpenter, electrician, painter, surveyor, Air Force pilot, flight instructor, engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University, a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, aircraft generator designer, Sunday school teacher, inventor, manager, husband, father, grandfather, and most of all a nice guy.” Mr. Hardman was an engineer by profession, employed by Wilson’s Sporting Goods in Chicago and Palm Beach County.

Mr. Hardman leaves to cherish his memory three devoted children, Joyce Beilbarz of Columbus, Janet ( Bill) Knight of Westminster, MD., and James (Betty) Hardman of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; four siblings, Virginia Wine of Jupiter, FL, Bob Hardman of Riv Beach, FL, Roger Harman of Orlando, FL, and Judy Dreier of Dresden and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Hardman, who died January 9, 2004. They loved playing golf together.

Calling hours will begin at noon with a memorial services at 1 pm Saturday, March 19, 2005, at the Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel, 1150 W. Military Road, with the Rev. Russell A White officiating.
