About | Thomas William Connar, 52, of 1935 Blue Ave., was found dead of a .45 caliber bullet wound in his chest shortly before 11pm Monday, March 21, 1974, at his home and Coroner S. S. Daw returned a verdict of suicide. His body was found by his wife, Phyllis, in the bedroom at the residence. Born January 21, 1922 in Cambridge, he was a son of Oscar Thomas and Iris Jordan Connar. He was a veteran of WWII and was a member of the Association of Letter Carriers. He was a former employee of Armco Steel Corp. here and had been employed 27 years in the Zanesville Post office. Mr. Connar was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Phyllis Lovell; a son, Patrick Alan of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Mark ( Carol) Barnett of 738 1/2 Lexington Ave., and Mrs. John (Barbara) Kenney of Bradenton FL; a brother Donald Connar of Nob Hill. Bolin Funeral home is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in Memorial Park. |
