About | Ursula Weber Antonetz, 80, of Zanesville died peacefully in her residence surrounded by family members in the early hours of December 29 following a long illness. She is the wife of the late Rudolph "Rudy" Antonetz. She is survived by her ten children: Mike, Rudolph "Pete", Doug, Ursula "Babette" (Craig) VanHorn, Andy (Charlotte), Matt, Mark (Julie), John (Heather), Alex, and Steve (Heather); and 19 grandchildren; her siblings, Margaret (Tom) Quinn and William (Bridget) Weber, Jr. She is preceded in death in addition to her husband; by her parents, William Sr. and Barbara (Sutton) Weber; and by a son, William. In addition to raising 11 children, Ursula was active for many years in the Democratic Party including managing campaigns for both Senators John Glenn and Howard Metzenbaum. She was a member of the Muskingum County Democratic Executive Committee and was an Ohio Delegate to the 1960 Democratic Convention. She was active with the Muskingum County Board of Elections and retired from the Zanesville Municipal Court working with Judge Howard "Butch" Zwelling. Ursula was active in volunteering for the community including the "Meals on Wheels" program, serving on the Board of the YMCA and the Zanesville Community Center and a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospice. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Zanesville. |
