About | Virginia Jean Laudenbacher, 81, passed away Saturday August 31, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born February 24, 1943, in Zanesville, to the late Frederick O. and Beatrice I. (Poorman) Spiker. Virginia was a 1961 graduate of Zanesville High School and worked as a food service worker for Bethesda Hospital. She enjoyed baking and doing any kind of crafts. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a son James Eric (Michele) Laudenbacher; an honorary daughter Kristine (Mark) York; honorary grandchildren: Shannon Stark and Adam York; a brother, Don (Jan) Spiker; and a sister Jane Smythe. In addition to her parents, Frederick O. and Beatrice I. (Poorman) Spiker, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, Raymond and Mary Rose Barclay; her husband James Laudenbacher, who passed away February 7, 2022; a daughter Lezley Laudenbacher, who passed away June 23, 2008; two infant sons: Ronald R. and Donald J. Laudenbacher; a brother Clifford “Leroy” (Dixie) Spiker and a sister Carol (Jim) Wilcox. No services will be held at this time.
