| About | Virginia Jean Roach, 91, of Zanesville, stepped into heaven to meet her savior at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Muskingum County Home. She was born September 12, 1919 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Alonzo D. and Grace G. Jennings Spinks. Jean was a lifetime Zanesville area resident and a member of Central Presbyterian Church. She formerly worked in the cafeteria for Zanesville City Schools and managed the cafeteria for West Muskingum Schools, was a therapeutic diet assistant for Good Samaritan Medical Center and worked for Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Jean was an accomplished seamstress and an excellent cook. Jean is survived by her daughter: Rise Jean Roach of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Jean in death were her parents; husband: John M. Roach who died October 16, 1996; and sisters: Dorothea Ross and Ruth Anderson. The last two years of Jean's life were blessed by the excellent care she received at the Muskingum County Home and by Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. |
