Wanda J. Hagley, age 89 of Zanesville, died 4:00 AM, Friday, January 12, 2024, at Helen Purcell Home in Zanesville. She was born Thursday, September 6, 1934, in Randle, WA the daughter of James William Hagley, Jr. and Era L. (Smith) Hagley. Wanda was employed with Armco Steel with 42 years of service. She was a volunteer with Genesis Healthcare Systems for over 18 years and with Red Cross for over 10 years. Wanda was an avid golfer belonging to two golf leagues, enjoyed bowling and had her pilot’s license. She was a Cincinnati Reds Fan and an Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. She was a 1951 graduate of Lash High School. Wanda is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, including a special niece: Leslie J. Raney. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by two infant siblings: Billy Lee & Pasty Jean Hagley; two sisters & brothers-in-law: Mary Lou (Willard) Smith and Betty J. (Dr. William D.) Dailey one brother: Dr. Norman E. (Janet C.) Hagley; and two nephews: J. Kevin Smith & Galen P. Smith. In accordance with Wanda’s wishes a cremation will take place.
