Wilda Marie Searight, age 96, of Ballwin Missouri passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday February 17th 2023 in the early morning hours. She was proceeded in death by the love of her life, husband, Richard Searight, parents Harvey and Fredda Stillion, her 3 siblings Eileen Taylor, Forrest Stillion and Curtiss Stillion, and her daughter Melinda Johnson. Wilda was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She is survived by daughters Loree VanKraayenburg, Karen Squicciarini and Marla Hill; grandchildren Alisha, Michael, Leah, Jennifer, Russell and Mason; great grandchildren Taylor, Keirstyn, Olivia and Thomas; great-great granddaughter Aspen, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Wilda was a graduate of Lash High School in Zanesville Ohio and Miami University, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1948. After leaving Ohio she moved to Missouri where she spent the next 70 years raising her family and enjoying all life had to offer. She was an active and involved member at Woodlawn Chapel Presbyterian Church. In 2019 she moved to Texas to be near her family. Throughout her incredible life journey, she loved music, art, family, church, friends and traveling. She was loved by many and known for her wisdom, kindness, compassion, inspiration and friendship. A private intimate family gathering in her honor is planned for March 18th 2023 in Houston, Texas. |
