About | William “Bill” Frederic Hargrove, 82 of Zanesville passed at 7:48 AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice after a short illness. He was born on Tuesday, November 26, 1935 in Zanesville, the son of the late Joe W. and Mildred G. Getter Hargrove. William “Bill” was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He was a member of the National Guard and American Legion. He retired from Stewart-Glapat after 45 years. His hobbies included photography, garden railroading, and scuba diving. He is survived by two sons, John F. Hargrove and Joseph F.(Tina) Hargrove both of Zanesville; 3 grandchildren, Alec N. Hargrove, Dana (Jenna) Lavy and Brady Lavy; a great-granddaughter Rowan Lavy; three sisters, JoAnn (Dewaine) Robinson, Elizabeth “Libby” (Roger) Penos, and Sandra Sue (Roger) Davis; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia A. Hargrove. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 P.M on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with one hour of visitation prior on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Burial will conclude at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Animal Shelter. |
