About Dr. William Brooks Holliday, 72, died Sunday,
October 23,2005, at King's Daughter
in Brookhaven,
Medical Center
Mississippi, following a six month
battle with cancer.
Born on May 19,1933, in Zanesville,
Ohio, he was
the son of the late William D. Holliday and Martha
Eloise Brooks, both natives of Jackson County. He
was a graduate of Emory University School of
Medicine and was a retired physician and aretired
Air Force Colonel. Dr. Holliday was a member of
Faith Presbyterian
Mississippi,
Church in Brookhaven,
the AOA Medical Honor Society, Sons
of the Confederate
Veterans and Sons of the
American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Chain Holliday;
sister and brother-in-law,
Martha and John Roush and
their children, John and Holly Roush, all of
Seminole, Florida; three sisters-in-law
brother-in-law,
and one
all of Mississippi; one brother-in-law,
Florida; and a host of nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Sue Brooks Holliman and Jackie Brooks, both of
Pendergrass,
and Larry Brooks were cousins.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 27, rn
Brooktraven,
Cemetery,
Mississippi. Burial was in McNair
Mt. Olive, Mississippi.
