| About | WEST SALEM: William C. Fulmer 67 of West Salem died Thursday November 15, 2012 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland, Ohio. Funeral Mass will be Monday November 19, 2012 @ 11:00 a.m. at St Stephen Catholic Church, West Salem, Ohio with Rev. James P Schmitz officiating. Friends will be received at the Matteson Funeral Home, W. Salem Sunday 2:00 to 5:00. Burial will take place at a later date at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on December 17, 1944 to Carl Ray Fulmer and Dorothy Charlotte (VanHorn) Fulmer. He is a graduate of Zanesville High Class of 1963. He served in US Navy from 1963-1969 where he served in Viet Nam 1966, 1967 and 1969. He graduated Capital University in 1993. He served on the Board of Directors of Telhio Credit Union. Following retirement from AT & T in 2001 after a 31 year career, he was a substitute teacher in Black River and Mapleton school districts. He also served as a varsity football coach at Mapleton High School 2006, 2007 and 2008. He is survived by wife Dianne R (Weilbacher); a son Damian Matthew Fulmer of Royal Oak, Michigan; and sisters Janice Lazar and Tia Li Hiles of South Zanesville and other in laws, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents; and a wife Pauline Guttierrez. |
