William E. Boggs, 85, of Murrysville, PA, died Sunday, November 22, 2009. He was born May 9, 1924 in Zanesville, OH, son of the late Edward Corey and Edith Marie Emmerson Boggs. He was a retired chemist for U.S. Steel with 38 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII; was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post 711 of Murrysville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Franklin Boggs. William is survived by his wife, Hertha Faistauer Boggs; two sons, William Mark Boggs of Thousand Oaks, CA and Karl Edward Boggs of Hopewell Junction, NY and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Boggs of Zanesville, OH. Visitation 1-3 and 6-8pm Sunday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A service will be held 10:30am Monday in the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville with Rev. Marnie Silbert officiating. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA. |
