About | Wilma J. Stotts, 92 of Zanesville, peacefully went to be with our Lord on September 28, 2022. She was born on October 31, 1929, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late John Alexander and Helen (Rhoades) Alexander Israel. Wilma was a long time active member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church of Zanesville, where she loved to sing in the choir and give her service to the Church. She worked as an administrative assistant for Dr. Fitz’s office and later worked at JC Penny Catalog until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, bowling, canning goods, baking, but most of all being there for her husband and children. She is survived by her children, Robert (Susan) Stotts Jr., Alyce “Melissa” Stotts, Arthur Lee (Beth) Deisher; grandchildren, Tabitha Ann Stotts, Ed (Kelly) Deisher; great-grandchildren, Eric and Abbey Deisher; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Karen Stotts, Mary Bailey; and “adopted daughter”, Cindy Palamar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Lee Stotts Sr., brother, Alan Alexander; and sister, Eris Erven; several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday September 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday September 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. |
