Graduation Year | Class of 1923 |
Date of Passing | Oct 18, 1984 |
About | Guessing on the actual graduation year, but Ilo Ross, my grandmother, was one of the first babies born in Agra and was dubbed "Queenie," since Agra first began as "Queen City," hoping to grow as a railroad town. I've been told that in her youth, she and her brother Phillip played music for youth dances in "community center" on the 2nd floor of the old bank building. She became a teacher and was Agra's only or main teacher in the 1930s and 1940s. Some of the locals called her "Windy" because she talked so much. Don't know if you all know of any existing yearbooks for her era. I'd love to see what she looked like then! Connie Harrell of Tulsa My mother is Lorene Lugton Harrell |
