| About | Frederick Eugene Laws passed away in Toledo, Ohio on July 11, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to George and Geraldine Laws. Frederick was known to many as Fred, Eugene or Gene. He grew up in BA and graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Geradine Laws, and his brothers, George “GW” Laws, Jr and Robert E Laws. Fred was a good and hardworking man. He took pride in his work and would go the extra mile to ensure a job well done. Fred cared deeply and loved his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone and would give the shirt off his back to help others. Fred was the full-time caretaker for his Mother, in her later years and took great care of her with love and compassion. Fred’s career took him from Oklahoma to Ohio in 2015, where he continued to excel and make an incredible impact. His talents extended well beyond his title. Fred designed, built and maintained a machine used for making belts for belted undergarments, which his employer said was a testament to his skill and creativity. His unwavering dedication and self-sacrificing nature left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to work with him. Fred was strong, hardworking, and lived life to the fullest. His legacy is one of resilience, love for his family and friends, and deep devotion to those he held dear. Fred is survived by his sister, Regina Cranmer, and niece, Jennifer Guffey, of Texas; his sister-in-law, Kathy Hall, of Oklahoma; and his nephew, M. Jared Laws, of Texas. Fred will be deeply missed by the people who knew and loved him. |
