Kevin fought cancer for the last two years with a joyful Christian spirit and the heart of a United States Marine. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” |
| Events | Kevin was born in St. Louis in 1965, the only child to Jackie “Jack” Bridges and Kathy Coon. He was raised in a blended family by stepdad Dennis and mom, Kathy Coon. Over the course of his life he lived and traveled in the United States as a child, and the world as a young man in college and during his tenure in the United States Marine Corps. This shaped in him to be at ease with and engage with people of all ages and nations. No one was ever a stranger to Kevin. He was reunited with his father, Jack when he was 44 and enjoyed getting to know and love dearly his stepmom, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews in recent years. Kevin graduated from Stetson University with a degree in History, which included study aboard in France. He then proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps (1990-1993). He earned his MBA in 2016, 25 years after starting his studies in the Marine Corp and earning his degree just 3 weeks prior to his cancer diagnosis. Kevin loved, worked and played hard. He most often could be found or met with a huge smile (dimples included) and a flash of his blue eyes. He met and married Robyn in 2002 and raised his family in Wisconsin until moving to Texas in 2010. He started a career as an Insurance Adjuster training under his stepdad, Denny. Borne from his training in the Marine Corp, the latter part of Kevin’s career reflected his expertise in IT, eCommerce and Project Management and he concluded his career as Director of Program/Project Management with USAA. Kevin is survived by his wife, Robyn; his son Matthew (Leah) Wells and grandsons Isaiah and Ezra; and his daughter Hannah Bridges; his mother Kathy Coon; his father Jack (Jeronda) Bridges; brothers Jon (Deborah) Bridges and Jason (Kelly) Bridges; sisters Jerusha (Bridges) and Gary Winkler, Jaki (Bridges) and Jeremy Blackwell and a beautiful group of nieces and nephews; his sole uncle Ken Henson and cousin, Ken “Kenny” Henson II.Services will be held in New Braunfels, Texas.
