| About | Ronald Scott Morgan was born Saturday, February 20th, 1965 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The son of James E. and Yvonne Morgan. He passed Monday, January 2nd, 2023 at age 57.Scott is survived by his wife Kelley Morgan, a marriage of 34 years. Son Trevor and his wife Lauren Morgan of Coweta, Ok. Daughter Kelsey Hunt of Broken Arrow, Ok. Grandchildren Hadley, Easton, Kolby, Noble. Mother Yvonne Morgan of Broken Arrow, Ok. He was preceded in death by his father James and sister Jami Lessley. Scott was a true Broken Arrow Native having never residing elsewhere. His love for Broken Arrow bled over to him establishing a career as a coach and teacher in the Broken Arrow school system for 28 years. He also was a standout three sport athlete for BAHS 1980-1983. Having graduating in '83 he accepted a baseball scholarship at Northeastern Oklahoma Junior College. He continued his education at Northeastern State University graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 1989. He met his future wife, Kelley Lollar, at NSU and they were wed September 24th, 1988. He started his career at Broken Arrow Schools in 1990 having coached football, basketball, and track. Coach Mo taught and coached in the state of Oklahoma for 32 years; including 28 with Broken Arrow Public Schools. As head coach, Morgan led the Tigers to the 2013 Boys Track and Field State Championship. He retired from coaching in 2021 to spend more time with his grandchildren. He was an active teacher in the Broken Arrow School System upon his time of death. Scott was a true people person having many friends in the coaching community, BA Schools, and Broken Arrow in general. His love for coaching kids went unmatched. He guided hundreds of young men in sports, life, and manhood. Being the genuine man he was, he always made people feel important and loved. Other than his many friendships, Scott's favorite things were spending time with family (especially his grandkids), BA and OU football, hunting, fishing, and golf. Scott will be always missed but never forgotten. |
