Meredith Suzanne Burdick lost her battle with cancer on July 28, 2011 at Mercy hospital. Meredith was born June 23, 1983 in Duncan, OK. She attended Deer Creek schools for 13 years and graduated in 2001. Meredith was continuing her education at UCO and Rose State in the Nursing program. She was preceded in death by her precious Grandma, Willie Burdick, her Granddad Wayne Scantlin and her baby niece Karley Burdick. She is survived by her boys Mason age 10 and Graham age 3, the loves of her life, her parents Jim and Connie Burdick, and Grandmother Rosa Scott all of the home, her brother David Burdick and his wife Debbie, nieces Hailey and Kylie, Grandpa Jim Burdick and his wife Pauline of Edmond, Grandmother Jeanette (Jenny) Dorset of Texas, along with many relatives and friends. Meredith fought hard to stay on this earth for her boys, but after 5 months she grew weary and was ready to be with Jesus. Meredith’s battle with cancer touched and inspired many people and she will forever be remembered for her journey and the love she had for her boys. Meredith’s family would like to give special thanks to all that kept us in their prayers, to Dr. Robert Reynolds and the many special nurses and caregivers on Mercy’s 4th floor. She so loved you and you made this journey easier for her and her family. There will be a memorial service at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. 3001 S. Boulevard under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home. |
