Born with a profound hearing disability, he was an excellent student and a great friend. He attended Hendrix College in Arkansas. Ray was also directly involved in the creation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, a law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability. He lived in Washington, DC for several years before moving to Dallas, Texas. He was a beloved neighbor and friend, who loved to cook and entertain. His death was sudden and devastating to all who knew and loved him. |
