About Deborah Sue Miller, 71, of Jefferson City, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2022, when she passed away at her residence.

She was born on October 2, 1950, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Johnny Lawrence and Zama Vonzene (Rozzell) Bailey.

She married Dale Wood Miller on July 26, 1986, in Jefferson City who resides at the home.

A 1968 graduate of Midwest City High School in Oklahoma, Deborah received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1972 from Oklahoma Baptist University. She continued her education with a Master of Religious Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Deborah worked for Missouri Baptist Convention in the Missouri Baptist Women’s Missionary Union as the Associate Director for fifteen years.

She was a member of Southridge Baptist Church, WOW (Women on Wednesday), Baptist Women’s Organization, Baptist Young Women’s Organization, Girls in Action, and Mission Friends.

Deborah loved being with her family, watching Jeopardy on T.V., playing crossword puzzles and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; a son, Olin Bailey Miller, Jefferson City; one grandson, Hunter Jay Thomerson; and a sister, Lee Ann Bailey (Dave Lewis), Roxbury, Vermont.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 9:30 -11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Southridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Southridge Baptist Church with Pastor Taylor Whitmore officiating. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Deborah’s obituary page under tribute wall at www.dulle-trimble.com

Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to Southridge Baptist Church or to WMU Foundation.
