About | Gloria Sue Minatra (Citty), who preferred to go by Sue or Nana, was born on March 10, 1948 in Redlands, Oklahoma and passed away in the early morning of February 4, 2022 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her sister: Judy Thatcher; three children: Michelle Denise Hamill, Richard Kenneth Conway and Michael Todd Conway; seven grandchildren: David Conway, Miranda Vogler, Kacie Robles, Peyton Hall, Emily Conway, Brooke Conway, Matt Conway and Ryan Conway; great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and several other members of extended family. Predeceased by her husband, Roger Coy Minatra (2006), mother, Bertha Elizabeth Citty (1995), father, Wilton Warner Citty (1998), sister, Bertha Maureen Swanson (2018), and brother, Leslie (Wilton) Citty (1981). Her career was nursing, which she was passionate about and practiced for over 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ who preferred the peace and quiet of the country over the hustle and bustle of the city life and lived out the remainder of her life by Lake Thunderbird. She never knew a stranger, and could make friends easily with her positive outlook and witty sense of humor. She kept her elder generation alive through spreading memories and often stressed the importance of doing so. She offered love, guidance, and support in life-changing ways to so many people and has touched many hearts. She was a true beacon of light and will be missed very dearly. Services will be held at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma, for immediate family on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association. |
