| About | Jan was born on January 25th, 1943 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Walter McAtee and Iona Wilson. Jan graduated from Midwest City schools and went on to a Technical School to become a Fabricator/Welder. In 1979, Jan married his wife Coietta. Jan’s greatest achievement in life is his family, especially his grandchildren. When Jan wasn’t with his family, his favorite pass time was metal working, wood working, fishing, and being a collector of treasures. He also belonged to organizations such as the Masonic Lodge, South Eastern Metal castors and Steam Engines. Jan was proceeded in death by his parents Walter McAtee and Iona Wilson; his wife Coietta McAtee; and sister-in-law Phyllis McAtee. Jan was survived by his son Franklin McAtee and wife Michelle Cummins; son Carter McAtee; daughter Kristi Albertson and wife Nancy Winsett; daughter Brandi Sechrist and husband Tim Sechrist; brother Ronnie McAtee; sister Carla Bean; grandchildren Kirsten Albertson, Charleston Sailors, and Brandon Barrett; great grandchildren Aubriamne Terry, Jaxon Jarvis, and Legend Barrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to current COVID protocols, guests are encouraged to wear protective masks at all times while inside the funeral home and practice the recommended six foot social distancing. |
