| About | OBITUARY: The News-Review, Roseburg, Oregon Monday, March 24, 1997 pg 7 JEAN BALL, age 66, of Elkton, Oregon, passed away March 19, 1997 due to congestive heart failure. She was born August 24. 1930 in Wichita, Kansas, to Earl and Jarret Jones. She was united in marriage on April 4, 1959 in Los Vegas, Nevada ato John Ball, who preceded her in death in 1987. Jean had been a resident of Elkton since 1979. She graduated from Midwest City High School in Oklahoma in 1948 and was third in her class. Jean was a homemaker and also a school bus driver in Ramona, California. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churchh in Cottage Grove. Jean loved gardening, flowers, canning and embroidery. She is survived by her four sons, Kevin Ball of Elkton, Oregon, Mike Ball of Drain, Oregon, Mark Ball of Ridgecrest, California, and Tom Ball of Vancouver, Washington.; one daughter, Jeanine Alexander of San Anselmo, California; two step-sons, John Ball of Nevada and Charles Ball of Ridgecrest, California; two step-daughters, Margaret Thompson of Camarillo, California, and Kathy Keller of San Diego, California; two sisters, Jeanette Martin of Lone Grove, Oklahoma and Beverly Sumner of Newalla, Oklahoma; three brothers, Earl E Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Neal Jones of Marysville, California, and Christy Joe Jones of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by two sons, Rodger Ball and Kenneth Ball.
