Mr. John Edward Burton, 45, of Marietta, died Friday, May 10, 1997. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 1997, in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, with Rev. Stan Lester officiating. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Born in Cameron, WV, Mr. Burton was a 1969 graduate of Midwest City High School, and a graduate of Central State University in Oklahoma. Mr. Burton had been employed with Amoco Oil Company for the past 24 years as a computer program analyst. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. John E. Burton. Survivors include his wife, Denice Burton of Marietta; daughters, Destinee Burton Coffee of Kennesaw, Amber Burton of Marietta; mother, Sarah Burton of Midwest City OK; sisters, Diana Heerdt, Colorado Springs CO, Sharlene Warren of Estes Park CO; brothers, Alan Burton of Oklahoma City OK, Rodney Burton of Midwest City OK; maternal grandmother, Virginia McCracken, Cameron WV; grandchildren, Kristiauna Coffey, Desarae Coffey, both of Kennesaw.
