Martin David Turner, age 53, of Midwest City departed this Earth January 27, 2004. Born March 21, 1950 in Shawnee, Martin, a Navy veteran, was an avid military and western historian, A security officer at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for 16 years, Martin was the ideal cowboy to visitors from around the globe. His wife, Victoria, and daughters, Elizabeth Kickham, Cassandra Summers, and Rachael Turner, will remember him for his compassion, wisdom, and humor. His six grandchildren will miss his campfire stories. This life is now less rich for his mother, Lora Joyce Turner, his brothers, Michael and Mathew, and sisters, Marjorie Popadak and Linda Clayton, as Martin joins his brother Clifford. Memorial services Saturday at 10:00 am, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1107 Felix Place, MWC. |
