About Fred Michael Hunholz (Mike) was born December 21, 1951 in Kansas City MO. He passed away August 19, 2014 at Midwest Regional Medical Center. Mike graduated from Midwest City High School in May of 1969. He joined the Army National Guard in 1971 and started his medical training there. He then furthered his education at Oklahoma City Community College becoming a Registered Nurse. Mike was on duty April 19, 1995, the day of the Murrah Building Bombing. He also worked with the May 3, 1999 tornado victims arriving at Midwest Regional Hospital. Mike loved dirt bike riding, building cars, bicycling, gardening, football, and had a large music collection. He also loved the outdoors, especially the Colorado Rockies. If you asked him what football teams were his favorites, he would tell you any as long as it was good game although he loved his OU t-shirts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethylene Hunholz and is survived by his father, Fred C. Hunholz; one brother, Charles Steven Hunholz, DVM, both of the Oklahoma City area. Also two sisters, Brenda Holder of the Oklahoma City area and Berniece George of Mt. Juliet TN; a daughter Amber; three nephews, one niece and two great-nephews, whom he was very fond of; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at Midwest Regional Hospital for helping us through this long good-bye. Love you Mike and hope you are at rest; we will miss your beautiful smile. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Eastside Church of Christ, 916 S. Douglas, Midwest City OK 73130 under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Burial will be at a later date in Missouri.
