Richard L. “Rick” Myers, age 51 of Ft. Lauderdale FL passed away at his home on July 16, 2003. He was born in Murphysboro IL on July 31, 1951, the second of three children to the late Marjorie and Edward Myers. His loving wife Pat, of Ft. Lauderdale; brother Robert Myers of Jacksonville; and sister, Susan Myers Timmons of St. Augustine; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends survive him. Rick graduated from the University of Southern Illinois. He served time in the U.S. Navy where he received three performance medals, and top secret clearance status. He held a 100-ton, Masters USCG Captain’s License. Seward Services, Inc. employed Rick from September 1994 until the time of his death. He loved and adored the business, and put his whole heart and soul Into it. He achieved his most important lifetime goal by earning Vice President and COO status of Seward Services, Inc. in October 2002. He was “One of a Kind” a “Prince of a Man”, and he will be deeply and truly missed. We love you Rick. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, August 2, 2003 leaving the dock of the “Caprice” yacht at 10:45 a.m. with the committal of his remains to the ocean.
