| About | SUSAN JENSEN OBITUARY Longtime Goodland, Kansas resident, Susan Lee Jensen, 62, died May 5, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born July 24,1943, in Lancaster, California, the daughter of Lee H. Schriewer and Jane (Caufield) Schriewer. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1961, and Central State University in 1965, both in Oklahoma. On May 27,1966, she and Gary L. Jensen were married in Goodland, KS. She served in Unified School District 352 as a teacher for 42 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, and Delta Kappa Gamma in Goodland. Preceding her in death were her parents. Surviving family members are her husband of Goodland; daughter Michelle Benton of Manchester, New Hampshire; two granddaughters Joslyn Liby of Manchester, New Hampshire and Dayne Webring of Goodland; brother Jack Schriewer, his wife Jeanne, and their children Joanna and Emily; brother Eddie Schriewer, his wife Bonnie, and their daughter April; brother Rick Schriewer, his wife Pam, and their daughters Jamie and Kimberly, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 10, at 10:00 AM MT, at the First United Methodist Church in Goodland, with Dr. Chet Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery. Friends may share their respects at Koons Chapel on Tuesday, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM MT. Memorials may be designated to American Diabetes Association, and may be left at or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 North Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555. |
