Suzanne Golden, 71, of Oklahoma City, passed away April 28, 2022 with family by her side. She was born February 25, 1951 in Midwest City OK to Edward & Jessie McGee. Suzie graduated from Midwest City High School in 1969 and married the love of her life Steven Golden, July 11, 1969. Suzie purchased their first home in Midwest City while Steve was overseas during the Vietnam War. Suzie worked at Langston Dept Store after high school until they began their family with the birth of daughter Kimberly & later had son Brian. Suzie’s new fulltime job became caring for their children and home. Suzie began helping Steve run the Midwest City Baseball Association which they were very passionate about and enjoyed helping the youth program in their hometown for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Steve; her parents Edward & Jessie McGee, two brothers Bob Coons and Edward McGee, Jr., and nephew Jaren Hill. She is survived by daughter Kimberly Smith & husband Michael of Prague and son Brian Golden & wife Michelle of OKC as well as sister Jan Hill & husband Richard of Tulsa, and sister-in-laws Anna McGee of Cookson and Sharon Stewart and husband John of Yukon. Suzie has two granddaughters Arissa and Brennyn and three grandsons, Mason, Carson, & Bryson. Suzie has many family members and friends that will miss her terribly. Barnes Friederich Funeral Home handled arrangements per Suzie’s request and the family celebrated her life together at her home. |
