Bonnie LuCille Steiner-Leavitt, 65, of Nyssa, OR, passed away quietly on Feb. 25, 2013 in Meridian, ID with her family at her side. The Funeral service will be held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette, ID on March 9, 2013 at 2pm, burial will follow at Nyssa Hill Top Cemetery. Bonnie was born on June 26, 1947 to Wallace and LuCille Steiner. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1965 then continued her education at TVCC. She married Ralph E. Leavitt in August 1965. Bonnie raised her five children in Nyssa, OR; Richard, Mechelle, Doty, Andrew and Randy. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bonnie was a hard worker and enjoyed all of her jobs, finally retired from the State of Idaho in 2007. Bonnie then volunteered at the Nyssa Elementary School until 2012. Bonnie was a member of Golden Rule Chapter #131 Order of Eastern Star, Job's Daughters Bethel 33, Ladies Oriental Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile. Bonnie's favorite hobbies were sewing and crafts.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Leavitt, her parents Wallace and LuCille Steiner, and brother-in-law Robert White.
Bonnie is survived by her brother Jack Steiner (Judy I), sister Judy May White, son Dr. Richard Leavitt, daughter Mechelle Leavitt, daughter Doty Eckhart Leavitt, son Andrew Leavitt (Kathy), son Randy Leavitt (Lori), Kyle Waits. Grandchildren, Tequisha Evans (David), Junior Cervantes (Kimber), Nellie Cervantes (Camillo), Kami Henricks, Troy Henricks, Cody Leavitt, Mesa Leavitt, Shilo Leavitt, Makayla Leavitt, Keegan Leavitt, Caleb Leavitt, Isabella Leavitt, Shi-Anna Carter. Great Grand Children Aurelia Cervantes, Brynlee Evans, Camillo Cervantes Jr. Bonnie is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews and extended family.
